Support Senate Bill 1430
For all children in the care of the Department of Child Safety (DCS), DCS is required to determine whether each child is eligible for benefits administered by the federal Social Security Administration or the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. If DCS determines that a child is eligible for federal benefits, DCS is required to apply for the benefits on behalf of the child. Establishes requirements for the use of the child’ federal benefits.
