The team keeping 1 million+ children safe—and counting

We’re lawyers and reformers—but also former abused children, foster parents, and adoptive families. At the Center for the Rights of Abused Children, we know what’s broken because we’ve lived it. Together, we’re driven by one mission: to make sure every child has a safe and loving home.

Darcy Olsen

Founder and CEO

Darcy Olsen always wanted to be a regular mom. Then came the call: newborns were being warehoused in city shelters during the opioid epidemic. Would she open a crib? She said yes. In time, ten children came into her life the same way—through crisis, with no one else to catch them. Up close, she saw the system’s failures: children left to stand alone in court, years lost cycling in and out of care, and some who simply didn’t survive. Out of that heartbreak, Olsen founded the Center for the Rights of Abused Children to unite people to do more, be more, and change more for children. (Yes, her house is loud. And yes, you should consider it!)

Ann Tredway

Executive Director

An instrumental leader since the Center’s founding, Ann built the organizational architecture that keeps the mission moving—finance, operations, and relationships—guided by her credo: “Do all things with excellence.” She loves introducing people to the Center’s work and speaks in boardrooms, classrooms, and living rooms to live out her faith in service of children who need love and safety. Around here we say, “If it’s working, it’s Ann’s doing. If it’s broken, Ann will fix it.” Approachable and exacting, she turns compassion into systems that deliver results for kids.

Tim Keller

Senior Vice President and Legal Director

A father of four boys, Tim and his wife opened their home to children who needed safety and stability. What he saw in courtrooms changed him: children without voices, rights promised but not protected. He’s now devoted his career to making sure every child is protected, represented, and given the chance to grow up safe and loved. A seasoned constitutional litigator, Tim’s building a body of precedent to defend children’s rights to safety, family, and counsel.

Jeff Noble

Chief Development Officer

No child should live in fear. Guided by this belief, Jeff leads the Center’s philanthropic strategy, helping people turn their generosity into action for children. His hallmark is connecting people to the children who need them and delivering visible results: rescue, safety, and happy childhoods. (He’s also “a super cool dad,” according to an unbiased internal poll.)
