Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn is safe today, adopted by a loving aunt who had the courage to contact the Center for the Rights of Abused Children and rescue her young niece from sexual exploitation.

Kaitlyn’s father saw her as nothing more than a way to get easy cash. Just after her 11th birthday, he delivered her to his friend who was a pimp. Kaitlyn often disappeared for days. When she returned, her father took the money she made, then locked her in her room until it was time to go out again.

90% of those who sexually abuse children are family, friends or known to the victim.

Thankfully for Kaitlyn, her aunt discovered the abuse and reached out to the Center for the Rights of Abused Children. Our pro bono Children’s Law Clinic was able to protect Kaitlyn and facilitate her adoption.
