Laura MajorManager of Donor Relations

Laura Major is a life-long proponent of individual rights and freedom.

At the Center for the Rights of Abused Children, Laura manages fundraising, donor-related outreach, and organizes operational activities to facilitate the impact of our mission.

Before joining the Center for the Rights of Abused Children, Laura worked for the Cato Institute as Conference Director overseeing their 25th anniversary, donor retreats, and event staff. From there she joined the Goldwater Institute as Director of Donor Relations before moving on to become Director of Stewardship of Westover School assisting in the launch of a successful $45 million campaign for their centennial. She then oversaw fundraising for a K-12 school for four years before joining the Center for Children.

In her career, she has also served on the Advisory Board for FOCUS (Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools) New England, the San Diego Hotel Meetings Advisory Board, and the Alumnae Board of Governors for Westover School. Laura has also advised organizations on governance, fundraising, and events.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University. In her free time, she enjoys cooking for family and friends.
