Christy du MeeParalegal

Christy du Mee is a paralegal with a passion for providing quality advocacy for vulnerable children.

As a paralegal for the Children’s Law Clinic, Christy’s focus is on caring for the Clinic’s clients and assisting the Clinic’s attorneys so that together they can achieve the best outcomes for abused children.

Christy is deeply passionate about protecting children and providing permanency. As a foster parent with long-term placements, Christy has advocated for children in her care and witnessed the foster system first-hand. Her direct experience with fostering has given her a compassionate understanding of our clients’ heartaches and solidified a deep commitment to do more for America’s abused children.

Christy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government – Public Policy from Patrick Henry College, where she won several awards for her oral advocacy skills.

She has experience in various law and policy fields, including immigration policy and estate planning law. Christy and her husband began fostering in 2017, while she was a stay-at-home mom to her two elementary school children. As her children have grown, she is now able to combine her front lines experience with her paralegal work.

Outside of the Children’s Law Clinic, you can find Christy dating her husband, chauffeuring her two tweens, learning a new board game, or getting lost in a good book. Her faith gives her hope as she advocates for the most vulnerable children.
